Warfare Prayer Points With Scriptures

Spiritual warfare is a reality for believers, and engaging in prayer is a crucial weapon in our arsenal. These warfare prayer points, backed by relevant scriptures, offer a framework for standing strong against the enemy's schemes. Remember, prayer is not merely a ritual, but a powerful connection with God, enabling us to access His strength and protection.

Prayer Points for Protection and Spiritual Armor

  • Protection from Evil: "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11). Pray for God's protective angels to surround you, your family, and your community, shielding you from spiritual attacks and harm. Ask for discernment to recognize and resist any spiritual influence contrary to God's will.

  • Putting on the Full Armor of God: "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." (Ephesians 6:13). Pray for strength to put on each piece of the armor – the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

  • Breaking Spiritual Strongholds: "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). Pray for God to break down any strongholds of darkness – be it in your personal life, family, community, or nation – and for His will to be established. Name specific strongholds, such as addiction, fear, or oppression, and declare His power over them.

Prayer Points for Spiritual Breakthroughs and Victory

  • Overcoming Fear and Anxiety: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6). Pray for peace that surpasses all understanding. Cast all your anxieties on God, knowing that He cares for you.

  • For Spiritual Discernment and Wisdom: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." (James 1:5). Pray for God's wisdom to navigate difficult situations and to discern the enemy's tactics. Ask for the ability to recognize spiritual deception and to make righteous choices.

  • For God's Will to be Done: "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10). Pray for God's perfect will to be accomplished in all areas of your life. Ask for the courage to align your actions with His purposes and to be a vessel of His blessings.

Remember to Pray…

  • With Faith: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
  • With Persistence: "And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart." (Luke 18:1)
  • With Thanksgiving: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

These prayer points are a starting point; allow the Holy Spirit to lead your prayers. Engage in consistent spiritual warfare, trusting in God's power to overcome any obstacle.
